...off to Dublin this weekend so this post is fitting, but also working on a project with vintage ticket & luggage tag inspiration!  Hoping you're inspired too!

   

I love the idea of mixing textile patterns in with these travel tags, I think the ones above were used for wedding place cards...

...biarritz vintage finds...

August has taken me away from my computer-which I don't think is a bad thing, but I do apologize for my lack of posts.  I've been spending a lot more time out & about taking in the french culture, landscape (good weather!) & inspiration....this past weekend & week has been filled with markets of all kinds- they're so good here!  Sunday I went to this vintage market in Biarritz that was filled with inspiration.

I was even able to snap a few photos of some amazing vintage fabrics as inspiration for patterns I will be designing for Seea for their upcoming season (which I'm super excited about by the way!!!)...

I uncovered the most incredible hand beaded tote of all time from my favorite vendor, J'viens d'la part de Madame Minet (she just opened a shop in Bayonne!)

...I found these amazing stackable vintage gems at a brocante down in hendaye this past weekend...they were amongst a huge box of jewels- it was like digging for buried treasure- I loved every minute of it!  I ended up with a huge handful, but carefully edited my selection down to the trio above, but now I'm wishing I had come home with more!  Iosselliani has an amazing collection of stackable rings where you can score your own fancy baubles. x

...I stumbled across this amazing online boutique, Sparrow & Co, out of the UK housing a unique homeward collection.  Most everything on the site is handmade in far flung places like Morrocco, Uzbekistan, Asia, Central America, & Scotland- my favorites are the vintage quilts, hand knit throws, fair-isle pillow shams, tin can lanterns, & recycled glasses....the owner/curator ensures that traditional crafting skills are kept alive & each product has a story to tell...x mvg
