...dublin days...

...I just returned from a quick little journey up to dublin & back...what a cool city!  It felt nice to get all bundled up for fall & I had a blast bopping around with my friend Katie- she knew just where to take me!

I totally fell for the concept store Avoca- similar to Anthropologie in a way but rooted around Irish heritage & their iconic throw blankets (think cashmere, mohair, & lambswool) that have been around since 1723- Irelands oldest weaving mill!

The store had levels & levels of carefully curated products & even a cute little cafe.  I loved it & everything in it, but unfortunately I had no room for throws in my tightly packed suit case, so delicious smelling soap had to do!  I definitely plan on stocking up on throws from their online store though- their cookbook looks pretty good too!

...flea mkt finds...

I found some good steals last weekend at the anglet flea.  I cruised away with a basket of gems -some beautiful pink goblets & a vintage vogue mirror....ooolala...how feminine?!?!

...astier de villatte...

...back in march I wrote about my trip to London & the amazing ceramic collection I stumbled across at Liberty.  Well I happened to run into the atelier of astier de villatte yesterday while perusing for prints...

The collection is absolutely gorgeous....I'm so in love with the textures & the milky washed looking glazes!  I wish I could have a house full of this stuff...headed back south tomorrow...cheers to friday! x mvg {images via here, here, here}

...how cool are these straw & paper creations by swedish artist per ake back man?!  They seem to have both a structural & organic feel at the same time.  

...I'd love to add something like this to a corner in our

...a hippy at heart I've always loved coming across random man made balancing rock sculptures in their natural environment, so this balancing block set struck up a bit of vermont nostalgia for me.  The facets & distressed white wood are true gems...x mvg

...I'm loving the exposed wood beams & hanging chair in the interior above....I actually love this whole space- the shapes combined with the white, wood, & brick are so perfectly paired...this image is from the leif blog.  I just stumbled upon leif- a boutique based out of brooklyn of carefully curated things to inspire & enrich.  I really love the small offering & how each piece chosen for the shop feels unique & special.
