...tiny moments...
...finding inspiration in the tiny moments of beauty in both of these rooms- loving the small cluster of image & objects in the bedroom-they are for sure a tribute to something special; While the collage of sky photos in the entryway of grays, blues, & whites is restful & calming- both lovely....xx

...shacking up...
Today Root serves up the 3rd edition of "shacking up". This is a concept board for a living room with a laid back rocker vibe (model Erin Wasson as the muse). An unapologetic mix of era's in this one...enjoy! xx {mvg}

...the luggage act...
I'm usually more of an asymmetrical but balanced kind of gal when it comes to decorating- no matching lamps- mismatched end tables. Nonetheless, I'm really digging the styling of the entryway above. The perfect symmetry of the lamps & chairs is offset just enough by the mismatched vintage-stacked luggage. It definitely helps to keep it interesting without appearing too stiff or formal. I also love the aqua blue coral accent & how it ties back to the chocolate & aqua paisley print on the side chairs. Well done! I wish I knew where this image came from...just dragged it out of the archives! xxx MVG
...return to the mtns...
Halloween weekend was filled with blazing fires, the chill of fall, hiking, butternut squash soup & red wine in Big Bear. I'm really looking forward to winter in Vermont followed by adventures in the mountains of France with my husband- it's going to be a good year. xo{images via anne sage}
