While on our yearly east coast holiday tour my husband & I had a chance to spend some time in East Hampton, NY where he grew up. I always love the Hamptons no matter what time of year- the winter visit this year was particularly nice since the town & beaches were enveloped in snow-a result of the noreaster that came through a few days before. It was gorgeous. The beaches were empty & town was anything but crowded. Long walks on the beach without another soul in sight- we were loving it.
We met some friends at The Maidstone in town for after dinner drinks one eve. I totally fell in love with this hotel. The outside appears to be your classic New England colonial, but when I saw the front porch chairs draped with sheepskins I knew that what was inside would be anything but typical New England. Swedish owner Jenny Ljungberg turned the inside of the property into an eclectic mix of Scandinavian design. It's modern but still exudes a boho-cozy vibe. I loved the turquoise walls & all the Scandinavian textiles. We'll definitely be staying here on our next visit...& they're pet friendly! Check out the other c/o's other hotels here. {xx mvg}
