...patterns in wood- just as cool as patterns in fabric...the work by brooklyn based, ariele alasko is inspiring me to turn some of my geometric surface pattern designs into wood inlays for tables- headboards etc...

...loving how she tags her creations- below- not to mention her choice of hand lettered fonts are right up my alley...

...and I'm off today on a roadtrip to Portugal with my husband & brother & gf...I'll be back in a week!

...it's that time of year again...& I'm entranced dreaming of the fluffy stuff & cozy fires...

...how amazing are these woven & embroidered textiles?!?!?  I love the natural fibers mixed with pops of color & fun shapes & patterns....un / deux/ trios. I took a last minute trip to Barcelona yesterday- so excited to explore the city today with my honey...more pics & posts on this later...x mvg.

...while sherin guirguis' mixed media paintings are beautiful, they're pretty deep & represent egypt at a time of both social & political upheaval- current exhibition in san francisco at Frey Norris Gallery- worth checking out for sure...x
